Famine Tales: A Graphic Anthology, sequel to Famine and Dearth in India and Britain, 1550-1800, a project financed by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and conducted by Ayesha Mukherjee, professor of English at the University of Exeter, and Amlan Das Gupta of Jadavpur University. The research resulted in the creation of a digital database that allows researchers to investigate the cultural histories of famine in early modern India and Britain.
